Recently replaced the shock on my 98 600 bandit in the process noticed a lot of rust so decided to remove the under tray, stripped the bike back to the frame and cleaned etc. After reassembling the bike I plugged in the electrics and connected that battery (the battery is full charged). There is no power going to the bike, no lights, indicators or starter. Nothing.
Anyone got any ideas what it could be before I call the mechanic.|||check the battery earth lead has a clean tight connection to the frame . check the main fuse .|||My guy says somewhere a live wire is touching metal and shorting the whole circuit . It's not a job for a 拢30 an hour mechanic because only time will let you find the fault .
Replace wire for wire until you have power , a simple but mind numbingly boring job .
A faulty ICU may be the cause but these ain't cheap to replace .
