What makes a bike a crouch rocket?

Im looking at buying bikes and i just dont see the line of what makes a bike a sport bike and a crouch rocket.


im looking at a bandit 600 , a gs500, a gsx 600 katana and a sv650.





i like the bandit but are any of these consider crouch rockets or is it just the gsx-r's and ninjas and cbr's and all the race bikes?|||Crouch ?

You should be aware it is a term most motorcyclists do not use.|||a crotch rocket has a strange looking seat .It makes you lean forward so you have a very low profile to keep wind resistance down. These things usually have more engine than they need so they can boogie. When you lose control you will think you are riding a rocket until you stop or run into something.|||all these people are stupid, the term crotch rocket is just a nickname people gave sports bikes because of there speed and the way you are position on a motorcycle.(look like your on a rocket).|||Not really, They border the sport bike category but they are not a true sport bike. An SV 650 is more of a dual purpose, a Katana is a low powered sport bike. "Crouch rocket" that's funny! I guess you could call it that.|||Any bike that you crouch on that goes fast is a crouch rocket. If it goes slow, then its a crouch couch.|||HAHAHA!
