I have just put a new engine into m 400cc suzuki bandit but it wont start?

I have put a new 400cc engine into my 400cc suzuki bandit and have wired it up and everything seems to be working but i am not getting any spark to start the bike. Someone has suggested it might be the kill switch and to just disconnect it but there are 6 wires going into it so its not that easy. Does anyone else have any suggestions or ideas.
