Why does the friction point on my '96 bandit keep getting closer and closer to the grip?

When I ride in stop and go traffic (especially in hot weather) the friction point gets closer and closer to the grip. When I park the bike for a couple hours and let it cool down it goes back to normal. I think it might be the rubber clutch line or possibly the clutch cable itself but I cant fully wrap my head around it.|||I would say that heat is making the clutch plates expand reducing the clearance between the plates. As you start to engage the clutch does it surge or does it engage smoothly? If it surges you might have some warped drive plates in the clutch pack. It's possible that changing the primary oil if it's a wet clutch will help.I use Redline MTL in mine and highly recommend it.|||Clutch fiber plates are getting worn out.
